My name is Cornelia Schaible, and I am a writer and a photographer. Having been an editor for a couple of years, there was certainly a time when I was more of a writer. But now I am a Freelancer again, and the old enthusiasm for photography is back.

I had the opportunity to live in wonderful places in Germany, France and Switzerland, and I did a lot of traveling in the last few years. Especially exciting were several extended stays in Japan. Now I am based in Metro Detroit, and I enjoy exploring the United States. Sometimes I revisit my favorite places in Europe. There is still so much to see - I don't even know my native Germany very well, I must admit.

But in the warm season, I am only traveling within Michigan - it's simply the best place to be during summer. So, on this website, I am featuring pictures of Michigan's Water Wonderland plus select portrait shots.
